About Scripttalk Network
ScriptTalk Network was conceived as a writer-friendly, avowedly writer-serving alternative to the Screenplay Contest System, and to more cost-prohibitive Premium Script Review or Screenwriter/Producer Advisor types of formats. Having worked in the screenplay review field for several years, we wanted to distill and incorporate the modes of writer-to-reader interaction and engagement we have found to be most effective in delivering direct, personal, high-acumen feedback. We believe that of any note, the writer is most likely to benefit hearing it explained, examined and cooperatively elaborated upon by the reader, in a face to face environment.

We have found in our time in the field, writers are often looking to be able to achieve a broader or more full-spectrum perspective on or understanding of their material -- and of what people "make of" it; who responded to what, and how, and for what reasons? What would a thoughtful reader think categorically worked - why and why not? when and when not? What concerns, insights, or tangents does my material bring to mind? This "intel-first" idea informs everything we try to do; more than implying or suggesting particular "answers", we try to make available for reference the "full set" of discussion points or "conversational material" surround a particular project.

We understand that the process of working on - and receiving feedback for - a Screenplay is inherently collaborative. Our goal is always to help the writer access the most exciting or utile formulation of their concept given everything we've been able to learn about it so that the writer is best positioned to carry forward the ideas that come up in consultation settings into the revision process.

Blake Alm
Blake has been working in Script Analysis and Consultation for over 3 years. In that time, he has read in surplus of 1000 screenplays, consulted with over 200 writers, and helped develop multiple projects.
He is an ideas-person who prides himself on a rich imagination and a saturated dream life.
Conceptually-minded, one of his projects in recent years has been to work on a model of narrative theory that incorporates and applies elements from the I Ching and the Human Design System within the context of classic dramaturgical theory.
An Avid reader - in addition to his work in script analysis and review - he enjoys reading fiction, favoring a particular sweet spot within latter 20th century speculative or surrealist material.
He received his B.A. from Princeton University (2020), where he studied Political Theory and the "Cognitive" Sciences.

Nathaniel Zettler
Nathaniel was introduced to Script Analysis in college (B.A. University of Pittsburgh, Film Studies and English Writing, grad. 2019) by doing script coverage for a local production company. For the last 2 years he has made Script Analysis and Consultation his full time career.
Nathaniel is pragmatic and likes to look at scripts from a production stand point. Having spent many hours on sets and taken multiple projects from idea to screen, he knows what is important to focus on and the hoops one needs to jump through.
Writing is very much an active part of his life. He understands the writer's process and the mental pitfalls that are associated with it.
A lover of film, Nathaniel watches as many movies as he can.
